NEURODIVERSITY

According to Ron Burgundy diversity is an old wooden ship. We have heard the term diversity through the ages and it has always focused on gender, nationality or skin color. Just as Ron’s definition is laughable and off the mark so is the way many companie think of diversity to create success.

Before I started my company I served in the USMC and this provided the opportunity to train with elite teams (Recon and Seals). Do you know why such a small team can be so effective, neurodiversity. I have been working with Fortune 500 companies since 1999 with a primary focus on keeping their employees healthy and productive.

If you truly want to understand diversity you must understand neurodiversity. To do this imagine not seeing people based on gender, color or nationality but how they are wired to interact with others and in various situations. If you could look inside them and understand their feelings, needs, desires along with the skills that make them unique. Then harnessing this diverse set of factors allow them to compliment and support others on the team in the work environment.

This approach allows us to be more productive and happy resulting in better health. This creates the people you really want and enjoy working with giving your company the competitive no technology or set of titles can compete with.
